Responsibilities
Prepare and review individual and business tax returns (1040, 1120, 1120S, 1065) with accuracy and speed
Research federal and state tax issues and summarize findings for internal review
Respond to IRS and state agency notices as needed
Communicate with clients to collect documents, clarify tax positions, and ensure smooth filing
Work closely with partners and tax staff to manage daily workload during peak season
Maintain awareness of current tax law changes relevant to seasonal filing
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
2+ years recent tax experience (public accounting or high‑volume tax prep)
Strong communication and organizational skills
High efficiency, accuracy, and ability to work with minimal supervision
Proficiency in Excel and QuickBooks
Adaptability and comfort learning new systems quickly
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines
Preferred
CPA license or CPA candidate
Experience with UltraTax
