Responsibilities

Develop and maintain configuration management policies aligned with ITIL and Commonwealth of Virginia (COV) standards
Own and manage the CMDB, ensuring data accuracy and compliance
Collaborate with Change, Incident, Problem, and FinOps teams
Define and enforce CI identification, control, and reporting standards
Partner with Infrastructure, Network, Security, and Application teams
Monitor, audit, and report on configuration data quality
Establish KPIs and metrics for CMDB health and maturity
Support IT governance, risk, and compliance initiatives

Required

ITIL Foundation certification (Intermediate/Expert preferred)
Proven experience in Configuration Management within an ITIL environment
Proven experience managing Azure resources integrated with a CMDB
Strong experience with Ivanti Neurons for ITSM
Hands-on experience with CMDB tools, CI class modeling, and discovery
Strong understanding of ITIL v3/v4 (Configuration, Change, Incident, Problem)
Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills

Preferred

Experience with configuration management automation tools
Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
Scripting or automation experience (PowerShell, Python)
Knowledge of audit/compliance frameworks
Familiarity with Commonwealth of Virginia policies and standards
