Senior MDM Engineer
Delta Air Lines is seeking a Senior MDM Engineer to engineer, implement, secure, and support mobile devices and macOS. Responsibilities
Administer and manage Omnissa Workspace ONE for mobile devices (iOS/iPadOS, Android Enterprise) and macOS
Monitor and enforce device patching compliance across all managed devices
Deploy software and updates to mobile devices (iOS/iPadOS, Android) and macOS
Develop, implement, and maintain mobile device management (MDM) policies and procedures
Conduct regular device audits to ensure compliance and security
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues related to mobile devices, operating systems, and software deployments
Serve as a subject matter expert for software, hardware, and operating system deployment and management
Document operational procedures, configurations, roadmaps, and troubleshooting steps for future reference
Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to optimize mobile device management practices
Provide high-quality customer service and support
Qualification
Required
3+ years of hands-on experience administering Workspace ONE across iOS/iPadOS, Android, and macOS in medium-to-large enterprises
Expert with Apple Business Manager (ABM/ASM), Apps & Books (VPP), Automated Device Enrollment, Android Enterprise (Work Profile/COBO/COPE), Zero‑Touch/Knox Mobile Enrollment
Deep knowledge of macOS management (profiles, PPPC/TCC, privacy controls, FileVault, software updates, SSO/Kerberos SSO Extension, certificates/SCEP, network payloads)
Strong scripting/automation experience (PowerShell, Python, Bash/Zsh), REST APIs, and Freestyle Orchestrator
Experience with Declarative Device Management (DDM) for Apple platforms to enhance real-time compliance and improve device responsiveness
Hands‑on with WS1 Intelligence, Freestyle Orchestrator, sensors, dashboards, and data-driven remediation
Excellent documentation, change management (ITIL), and cross-functional collaboration skills
Experience with Identify Platforms (Ping, Entra ID)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data
Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles
Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency
Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States
Preferred
Advanced understanding of mobile device security and compliance standards
Experience with enterprise-level software deployment and device auditing
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience with macOS packaging (PKG/DMG), AutoPkg, and notarization/stapling workflows
