Sales and Marketing Manager

LHH is partnering with a B2B insurance and professional services client in Portland, OR to recruit a Sales and Marketing Manager. This role involves establishing the firm’s brand and reputation, conducting market research, and engaging in networking and business development activities as a key member of the leadership team.

Responsibilities

Serve as a strategic partner to ownership and leadership with the goal of further establishing the firm’s brand and reputation by curating in-depth market research and analysis, identifying opportunities to build sales infrastructure, and serving as a public face of the organization for networking and new business development
Engage in the RFP and contracting process with prospective clients, guiding proposal development, serving as the brand and company subject matter expert, and signing new business aligned with major company goals
Develop SOPs and educational opportunities for staff, prospective clients and the larger business network, educating on this unique world within the insurance space and leveraging expertise to build client base and brand reputation
Engage actively in local and remote networking groups in the PNW and other relevant regions to the business in the US, identifying new strategic prospect clients for the business, educating on opportunities for those prospective clients, and further growing the brand footprint in specific professional communities and groups
Support other operational functions of the business that drive new opportunity, providing insight to leaders and owners, vetting potential new vendors and technologies, etc

Required

3+ years of sales, business development and/or marketing experience in a B2B professional services environment
Deep comfort in networking and relationship-based sales in the B2B world, with experience in insurance or similar strongly preferred
High level of research ability and the aptitude to learn and become a SME of this unique business model
Strategic sales and marketing knowledge with experience conducting market research, engaging with new leads and prospective clients, educating on the business model, and guiding the proposal and contracting process
Experience in professional services, insurance or healthcare is required for consideration
Strong CRM skills with the ability to drive adoption and engagement with these tools is required
Strong research skills are a must
