Responsibilities
Assist the controller in overseeing the accounting department, ensuring proper accounting practices and timely closing of books
Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial reporting
Support audit processes, both internal and external, by providing necessary documentation and reports
Support due diligence and integration efforts for acquisitions or other strategic initiatives
Manage AP team and ensure all vendors & suppliers are paid in a timely manner
Coordinate with various departments to gather financial data and ensure accurate reporting
Manage a team of 4
Produces and manages balance sheets and analyze future earnings and expenses
Assists with management of accounting, auditing and budgeting within the organization
Assists with preparations for audits. Works to reconcile accounting inaccuracies or imbalances
Perform as a key resource in the month end close process
Prepare monthly general ledger account reconciliations
Lead certain ongoing processes including vendor management
Assist with the external financial statement audit
Participate in process improvement projects within the finance team
Qualification
Required
6+ years of experience (health care experience is a MUST)
BS in Accounting, Masters preferred
6+ years of Accounting and Finance experience
CPA required
Strong understanding of accounting theory and practices
Demonstrated knowledge of US GAAP, including willingness to research and resolve accounting applications
M&A integration experience
Proficient in ERP software experience
Preferred
Private equity experience highly preferred
