Responsibilities
Analyze monthly financial statements, investigate variances vs. prior period and prior year, and perform accounting for complex transactions in accordance with GAAP
Execute advanced accounting processes including complex balance sheet reconciliations, GAAP research, audit support, and interaction with external auditors
Design, build, and deliver reporting, metrics, and insights that drive issue resolution and maintain a strong bottom-line orientation
Lead workstreams and provide guidance in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment; drive cross-functional issue resolution through effective communication
Define, document, and improve business processes, policies, and internal controls; lead new process design and applicable accounting software initiatives
Qualification
Required
Strong technical accounting expertise
Ability to lead through influence
Experience in GAAP-based accounting for complex transactions
Experience in analyzing monthly financial statements
Experience in performing complex balance sheet reconciliations
Experience in audit support and interaction with external auditors
Ability to design, build, and deliver reporting, metrics, and insights
Experience in defining, documenting, and improving business processes, policies, and internal controls
Ability to lead workstreams in a fast-moving environment
Strong communication skills for cross-functional issue resolution
Demonstrates ownership and accountability by delivering high-quality work on time
Ability to build strong cross-functional and peer relationships
Ability to lead informally through coaching, guidance, and training support
Continuous development of technical expertise and identification of opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy
Strong partnerships with key stakeholders by understanding operational processes and business drivers
