Responsibilities

Define and prepare job scopes and cost estimates for a limited range of project complexity and limited source information
Provide leadership to multi-functional project team consisting of land, environmental, survey, mechanical design, construction, operations
Provide accurate and timely cost projections and schedules
Manage multiple projects simultaneously with a focus on cost control and in-service date
Communicate clearly across all levels of the company, to public officials and contract personnel using all common forms of media
Maintain relationship with Operations personnel in order to evaluate installed facilities and incorporate improvements into future facilities
Maintain regular, dependable attendance with a high level of professionalism
Work with some guidance regarding work prioritization and project execution
Prepare technical construction specifications with guidance for individual projects
Help evaluate project bids and make selections
Review project plans and details for code compliance, proper company and safety standards & good engineering practices
Must have advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of products
Must possess and maintain a state-issued driver’s license
Must be willing to work outside of normal business hours and to respond to emergency situations at any time of day
Must work with Operations to conduct PSSR’s and commission pipelines and related facilities
Ability to navigate to remote locations

Required

Must have a Bachelor's in Mechanical / Civil /Chemical Engineering Discipline or and 0 to 3 years of engineering/project management experience in natural gas facilities, pipelines, and meter/control stations
Must possess basic knowledge of natural gas properties, phase behavior, basic hydrocarbon production and pipeline operations
Prepare technical construction specifications with guidance for individual projects
Must maintain a high regard for personal safety as well as that of other employees and contractors on site, in addition to the protection of company assets and the general public
Help evaluate project bids and make selections
Must have strong analytical skills, organizational skills and be able to apply sound judgement to poorly-defined problems
Review project plans and details for code compliance, proper company and safety standards & good engineering practices
Must have advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of products

Preferred

Working knowledge of mapping or graphics computer programs
Working toward becoming a licensed professional engineer
Working knowledge of DOT regulations and related natural gas & liquid design codes
Proficient at using Google Earth to identify and finalize pipeline routes
