Warehouse Equipment Technician Mechanic

Virginia Green is seeking a Warehouse Equipment Technician Mechanic to provide maintenance and service for branch vehicles and equipment. The role involves repairing and maintaining equipment, ensuring safety and cleanliness in the facility, and assisting with the filling of pesticides and fertilizers.

Responsibilities

Repair and maintenance of all equipment
Maintain the restricted status of chemical storage facility and keep it in a safe, clean, and orderly status
Maintain the facility in a clean and orderly fashion
Ensure trash and debris are removed from the grounds
Transport vehicles and equipment for repair outside the facility
Provide assistance with filling tanks with fertilizers and pesticides
Offload and Inventory deliveries
Moving inventory to regional branches as needed
In field repairs as needed, to include support at other regional branches with equipment/facilities repairs
Perform other duties as assigned

Qualification

Small engine repairForklift certificationVDACS technician licenseValid Virginia driver’s licenseOSHA certification

Required

Must possess a valid Virginia driver's license
Must have small engine repair experience
Driving record must pass insurability test
Must obtain VDACS registered technician license within 30 days of employment
Must obtain forklift certification within 30 days of employment
Be able to demonstrate the math skills necessary to read fill charts and correctly measure liquids and solids
Must be at least 18 years or older
Saturdays as needed
Minimum of High School diploma or equivalent
1-2 years of related experience
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to use computer keyboard and monitor for extended periods
Walking, standing, bending, reaching, and twisting
Able to lift 75 lbs
Repetitive use of hands
Works in an unconditioned warehouse, with temperatures that vary from hot in the summer to cold in the winter
Regularly transitions from prone to seated to standing positions
