Responsibilities

Developing and maintaining long-range transmission plans to ensure system reliability and economic efficiency
Performing detailed analyses of the transmission system under various operating conditions to identify limitations
Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement effective solutions for transmission system issues
Preparing and presenting technical reports on transmission planning studies to management, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders
Staying updated with the latest industry standards, regulatory requirements, and technological advancements related to transmission planning
Developing and managing project budgets, ensuring all projects are submitted to the design group for timely completion

Required

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required for this role
Relevant and progressively responsible engineering experience is valued, preferably in the bulk electric transmission systems and/or transmission planning
Possession of an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification is valued
Fundamental understanding of electric power systems, preferable PSSe and TARA load flow tools
