Senior CNC Machinist (1st Shift Preferred)

Latitude Inc is seeking a highly skilled Senior CNC Machinist to join their manufacturing team. This role involves operating and setting up 3-Axis CNC milling machines, mentoring junior machinists, and ensuring quality and efficiency on the shop floor.

Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and troubleshoot 3-Axis CNC milling machines, preferably Haas and Fadal
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T
Perform machine setups, including tooling, fixtures, and offsets
Edit and optimize CNC programs at the machine (G-code)
Monitor machining operations to ensure dimensional accuracy and surface finish
Conduct in-process and final inspections using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, indicators, etc.)
Identify and resolve machining issues related to tooling, materials, or programs
Recommend process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce scrap
Maintain machines through routine preventive maintenance and cleanliness
Train and mentor junior machinists and operators as needed
Adhere to all safety, quality, and company standards
Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to meet manufacturing goals

Required

Extensive hands-on experience operating and setting up 3-Axis CNC milling machines
Experience with Haas and Fadal controls
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T
Experience performing machine setups, including tooling, fixtures, and offsets
Ability to edit and optimize CNC programs at the machine (G-code)
Experience monitoring machining operations to ensure dimensional accuracy and surface finish
