Cost Accountant II
Wright Service Corp. is a prominent leader in environmental services industries, and they are seeking a Cost Accountant II to perform moderately complex cost accounting tasks. The role involves detailed profitability analysis, journal entry preparation, and audit support, while also assisting with process improvements and providing advanced reporting to management.

Responsibilities
Prepare and review journal entries for multiple projects, including complex revenue recognition and accruals
Conduct detailed profitability analysis and variance reporting for multiple cost centers
Issue advanced weekly and monthly project reports with trend analysis and recommendations
Utilize Workday for cost tracking, reporting, and reconciliation of complex accounts
Assist with internal audits and compliance reviews related to project accounting
Support monthly and quarterly close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Communicate with operations and finance teams to resolve discrepancies
Collaborate on process improvement initiatives to enhance cost accuracy and efficiency
Assist in training new team members and share best practices
Support Wright’s culture of safety and employee ownership
Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies
Handle multiple assignments and special projects as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
3+ years of progressive cost accounting experience, including project analysis and reporting
Proficiency with Workday and intermediate Excel skills required
Willingness to develop understanding of company policies and procedures
Ability to quickly understand, retain, and recall information, and research as needed
Must be skilled in using office equipment and have knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Must exhibit exceptional customer service skills, requiring professional tact, and discretion when dealing with personnel inside and outside the organization
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Knowledge of all confidentiality requirements regarding employee records
Ability to read, write and speak English sufficient to perform job duties and to interact and communicate with employees and vendors
Preferred
CPA or CMA certification preferred
