This entry-level role focuses on the physical deployment and initial activation of automated network infrastructure, providing hands-on experience with modern networking equipment.

Responsibilities
Unbox, stack, and physically install new Cisco Catalyst 9000 Series switches and access points
Execute the physical process of cabling network devices in designated areas
Verify the total deployment volume, which includes approximately 260 access points and 160 switches per site
Maintain high accuracy in the recording of equipment data, specifically scanning and documenting serial numbers and other backend data for inventory management (bagged and tagged process)
Manage and track hardware flow, coordinating efforts while awaiting delivery of hardware from school sites
Use a console connection to perform basic diagnostics on network gear
Access log files and perform basic troubleshooting, including reloading a switch if an error is detected
Identify when an issue requires escalation to the Senior Engineer team (no configuration writing is required)
Meet daily deployment targets, aiming to complete the rollout at approximately 1.3 schools per day
Maintain a high level of punctuality, dependability, and work quality to ensure project timelines are met

Basic understanding of networking principles and the role of devices like switches and access points
Entry-level familiarity with networking gear or equipment handling
Meticulous attention to detail, especially when recording serial numbers and backend inventory data
Punctual, dependable, and on-time attendance is critical
