Responsibilities
Plans and conducts the analysis, inspection, design, test, and/or integration to assure the quality of assigned product or component
Performs quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality manuals and company quality records
Applies statistical process control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate the current process and process changes
Engage with the General Contractor’s Quality Assurance Manager for inspection planning, project compliance, non-conformance management, quality audits
Attend weekly project update meetings with the project group including upcoming activities, status and deadlines
Reviews all purchased products or components and provides input to the decision of whether to accept the product and future purchases from the vendor
Documents data obtained during all quality assurance activities, consistent with company policies and procedures
Maintains a working knowledge of government and industry quality assurance codes and standards
Directs technical and administrative workers engaged in quality assurance activities
Qualification
Required
Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; with 10 years of overall experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Seeking at 5+ years of experience in Quality Control focused on ASME B31 piping codes, industrial and commercial construction, fabrication, welding, and non-destructive testing
3+ years of experience leading and managing direct reports
Proficient understanding of ASME Section IX BP&V Code and experience creating and reviewing welding procedures and welder or brazer qualifications
Preferred
Certification in accordance with AWS QC-1 as a Senior Certified Welding Inspector (SCWI), Certified Welding Inspector (CWI), and/or ICC Mechanical – Commercial Certification
