Mortgage Customer Specialist

Responsibilities

Prepares and processes mortgage loan records, files, and correspondence from application through approval
Assures compliance with bank, regulatory and investor guidelines, and customer service standards
Communicates with customers, internal staff, brokers, counsel, title companies, etc. to respond to inquiries, resolve problems and obtain all necessary documentation required for the file
Attention to detail while handling multiple deadlines and ensuring all deadlines are met
Daily manages a pipeline while keeping all parties communicated with daily
Communicates with loan officers, loan officer assistant, closing department and more partners to ensure all files meet their closing date
Complete weekly calls with sales partners to keep open communication

Required

High school diploma or equivalent
Three or more years of job-related experience

Preferred

Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills
Ability to produce results in a fast paced, production-oriented and customer-centric role
Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Thorough knowledge of loan processing and closing policies and procedures and credit policy to include automated underwriting system approver authority
2-5 years Mortgage loan processing experience
Previous experience in managing a pipeline while meeting deadlines
Experience in managing multiple deadlines in a fast paced environment with a high level of accuracy
Strong attention to detail with excellent time management skills and the ability to be proactive in the process
Spanish speaking preferred
