Responsibilities
Review and assess asynchronous patient consultations using the ZipHealth, Levity, and RocketRx platforms
Prescribe medications safely and appropriately in accordance with clinical protocols and state regulations (initial focus on GLP-1 therapies and ED treatments)
Provide clinical oversight and support to Nurse Practitioners
Evaluate reported side effects and provide follow-up care or escalation as needed
Communicate with patients to address medical questions in a timely, professional manner
Maintain accurate, concise clinical documentation
Identify, escalate, and document safety concerns or clinical incidents
Maintain active licensure and complete required independent training
Collaborate with Customer Support teams to resolve patient issues via chat, phone, or video when clinically necessary
Manage workload efficiently and meet agreed service-level expectations
Participate in clinical governance and peer review discussions
Consult with peers and the Medical Lead on complex cases
Qualification
Required
Active, unrestricted medical licenses in the following states: California, Florida, Texas, New York, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Illinois, Mississippi, Louisiana
MD or DO with unrestricted US licensure
Minimum 3 years of active clinical practice
Experience in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
Experience with remote or asynchronous prescribing
Experience working within multidisciplinary clinical teams
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Willingness to supervise Nurse Practitioners under collaborative practice agreements (as applicable by state)
Strong clinical judgment and autonomous decision-making
Clear, professional written and verbal communication
High attention to detail and strong governance mindset
Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced startup environment
Confident using digital platforms and EMRs
Preferred
Experience managing obesity and prescribing GLP-1 medications
Experience with high-volume telemedicine environments
Familiarity with digital health platforms and support tools (e.g., Zendesk)
Experience in private practice or virtual-first care models
Experience prescribing compounded medications
Prior experience supervising Nurse Practitioners
