Quality Team Leader (H/F) - SAFRAN AEROSYSTEMS OXYGEN US

Responsibilities
Provide leadership to the QA Inspection team members, coordinate their workloads, enhance technical knowledge within the department, develop inspection and inspection technique skill sets, monitor and improve daily issues, and ensure safety, quality and responsiveness targets are met
Knowledge of standards and how to obtain from databases
Use of Operating System to determine process flows, IIS sheets, etc. or ability to learn
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate (email, phone, face to face) with production, engineering and supplier personnel
Ability to operate in a team environment with work sharing, team problem solving and team acceptance of responsibility
Proficient writing documentation (MVR, quality control records and data bases, etc.)
Ability to properly use sampling plan information
Ability to read and interpret blue prints and engineering documents
Full understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
Competency in math functions (including trigonometry)
Understanding of the proper measurement devices, methods and accuracies for given component characteristic
Advanced calibration
Ability to proficiently use inspection tooling, including but not limited to, Smartscope and Optical Comparator, profilometer, spring tester, all style micrometers (bore, tenth pitch, tri anvil, depth etc.)
Able to understand acceptance test procedures and operate production test equipment (as required)
Ability to measure Threads (thread gages, pitch micrometer, wire)
Able to construct complex measurement set ups (locational and angular measurement using sine bar, height micrometers and dial indicators)
Completion of First Piece/First Article reports
Ability to test materials (hardness, surface finish)
Ability to perform capability analysis
Ability to train inspectors to required level
Ability to perform Safety audits and recommend improvements
Standard work observation
Experience with Gage Accuracy and Repeatability and Reproducibility Analysis
5S champion for area of responsibility
Achieve Green Belt certification within 2 years as required
Ability to troubleshoot equipment
Proven ability to operate machines and test equipment used in testing
Qualification
Required
8 years of experience inspection at AVOX or 8 years of past inspection experience in a related industry
Displays a technical understanding of the product and unique requirements of the aviation oxygen industry including the unique cleanliness requirements of oxygen components
