Responsibilities
Mentor and elevate a high-performing team of three (one Accountant, two Staff Accountants) to keep our operations seamless
Oversee high-volume bank recs and maintain a bird’s-eye view of AP/AR, GL entries, and workpapers to ensure every cent is accounted for
Drive a sharp, efficient month-end close process, ensuring accuracy is never sacrificed for speed
Identify bottlenecks and spearhead process improvements that make our financial controls even tighter
Act as a key financial partner to Property Management and Executive Leadership, translating complex data into actionable insights
Qualification
Required
6+ years of accounting grit under your belt, specifically within the fast-paced world of NYC residential rentals
You're a GL wizard. Reconciliations and general ledger management are second nature to you
You've either led a team before or you're a natural mentor ready to take that next step into a supervisory role
You understand the nuances of property management accounting and thrive in an environment where no two days are the same
You're detail-obsessed, tech-forward, and ready to play a pivotal role in a growing firm
