The Tax Specialist role involves managing US tax compliance and payment processes, focusing on indirect taxation and ensuring accurate reporting and efficiency improvements within the Group Tax team.

Responsibilities

Prepare and file sales and use taxation in over 40 state and local jurisdictions
Manage other sales and use tax processes, including Avalara reporting system
Process property tax assessments and tax bills (including payments) timely and accurately
Assist Tax Manager in tax reporting in accordance with IFRS and statutory regulations
Manage governmental inquiries and audits of tax filings
Assist in compliance of customer and vendor tax exemption certificates
Research, document and communicate indirect tax issues to Tax Manager and/or Management
Ensure timely and accurate responses to customer inquiries on sales tax issues, as needed
Assist Group Tax team with intercompany pricing request for the Americas region

Required

Bachelor´s degree in taxation, accounting and/or finance
4+ years' experience as a tax consultant or in-house tax analyst with indirect taxation knowledge
An independent mindset and strong analytical skills
Good communication and co-operation skills
Ability to work proactively and independently

Preferred

Experience with SAP and HFM desired
