Responsibilities
Assist with managing civil/water resources study and design projects
Develop hydrologic and hydraulic models of stormwater systems
Prepare drainage studies and stormwater masterplans
Analysis and design of municipal neighborhood improvements including stormwater facilities (open channels, culverts, storm sewers, detention basins, etc.)
Address resiliency, LID, Sea Level Rise, and climate change impacts in design
Preparation of plans and specifications for construction
Performing quality control of stormwater models, reports, and/or design
Permitting with local, state, and federal permitting agencies
Qualification
Required
4-year B.S. degree in Civil Engineering, with emphasis in water resources engineering preferred
Florida P.E. License required (or the ability to obtain through reciprocity)
6+ years of experience in the design of civil projects
Knowledge of basic principles of infrastructure design and plan preparation
Expertise in hydrology and hydraulics
Expertise with H&H modeling
Experience in consulting engineering, public works, or construction
Excellent technical writing skills
Strong verbal, computer, and organizational skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to travel throughout Baxter & Woodman service area (own transportation)
Experience with AutoCAD
Preferred
Emphasis in water resources engineering
H&H modeling (– Stormwise/ICPR preferred)
Civil 3D is preferred
Experience with ArcGIS is a plus
