As a Claims Processing Specialist, you will manage the freight claims process and ensure effective communication and resolutions throughout the claims lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with internal departments such as logistics, customer service, and finance to resolve complex claims and disputes

Monitor claims data and generate reports to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for operational enhancements

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and company procedures related to claims processing

Required

Minimum 2-3 years in claims and insurance processing of cargo issues

Experience handling total loss cargo damage claims

Experience conducting negotiations of claims with represented and non-represented claimants

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field

Strong knowledge of cargo insurance policies, procedures, and regulations

Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS)

Intermediate data analysis skills using tools such as Excel, Power BI, or similar platforms

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with stakeholders at all levels

Open to thinking/working with an outside-the-box approach

Preferred

Certification in claims management or logistics (e.g., Certified Claims Professional, Certified Supply Chain Professional) a plus
