Accounts Receivable Specialist

LHH is partnering with a well-established organization to hire a Senior Accounts Receivable Analyst who will take ownership of a high-volume receivables portfolio. The role involves managing the A/R lifecycle, reconciling accounts, delivering reporting for decision-making, and improving processes.

Responsibilities

Own the A/R lifecycle —from invoicing and cash application to aging reviews, credit memos, write‑offs, and month‑end close support
Work in JD Edwards daily to process large transaction volumes with speed and precision, leveraging advanced search, batch, and reporting functions
Reconcile complex accounts and investigate variances, short‑pays, chargebacks, and disputes; drive timely resolution with internal partners and customers
Deliver reporting that drives decisions —prepare accurate aging schedules, DSO/collections KPIs, unapplied cash logs, and account reconciliations
Tighten controls & improve processes —standardize workflows, document procedures, and partner with the team to reduce exceptions and cycle times
Support audits and close by maintaining complete documentation, balance‑sheet reconciliations, and clear review trails

Qualification

Required

Proven success managing a multi-million-dollar A/R portfolio with high transaction throughput
Hands-on JD Edwards expertise (required)
Fast, accurate keyboarding and systems navigation —you're comfortable touch-typing while toggling across ERP, spreadsheets, and portals
Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, filters) and comfort with large data sets
Clear, professional communication with customers and internal stakeholders

Preferred

Education: Associate's degree preferred (or equivalent experience)
BlackLine experience (account reconciliations / close orchestration)
Familiarity with cash application/lockbox workflows, deductions, and dispute management best practices
Exposure to SOX-style controls and audit readiness
