Responsibilities
Develop and implement AP policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency
Manage and mentor AP staff, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and professional development
Identify and execute process improvements, automation initiatives, and cost-saving strategies within AP operations
Oversee vendor relationships, negotiate payment terms, and resolve disputes to maintain positive partnerships
Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, company policies, and audit standards; mitigate financial risks
Prepare and review AP-related reports, metrics, and forecasts; provide insights to senior leadership for decision-making
Work closely with Procurement, Finance, and other departments to align AP processes with organizational goals
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
8+ years of progressive experience in accounts payable or finance operations, including 3+ years in a leadership role
Strong understanding of ERP systems and AP automation tools
Proficiency in GAAP principles, internal controls, and compliance standards
Advanced knowledge of financial reporting and analysis
Experience with SOX compliance, and implementing cost-saving strategies
Preferred
Professional certifications such as CPA or CMA
