InternSewickley Heights Golf Club is seeking a Grounds Intern/Assistant-In-Training to assist with daily golf course maintenance while gaining practical experience in turfgrass management. The role involves working closely with the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendents in a team-oriented environment that fosters professional growth.

Responsibilities
Daily mowing with walk-behind and riding units
Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to achieve goals
Proper water management (hand watering, overhead, etc.)
Chemical and fertilizer applications (calibration, mixing, and techniques)
Proper Course Set-up
Cultural Practices (topdressing, aerification, moisture management, etc.)
Irrigation system maintenance
Learn how to manage/motivate fellow teammates
Practice professionalism in both appearance and demeanor
Understand the importance of networking, development, and record keeping
Ability to learn Microsoft office

Moderate exposure to machinery (gas, diesel, vibrations)
Ability to work extended hours during golfing and holiday season
Ability to work weekends
Experience is recommended, but willingness to learn is essential
