Payroll Operations Coordinator
Cynet Systems is a company seeking a Payroll Operations Coordinator to support payroll and financial operations. The role involves assisting faculty and staff with payroll inquiries, processing payments, and coordinating with various departments to ensure accurate payroll management.

Responsibilities
Support instructional payroll and other non-staff payments
Assist faculty and staff with payroll-related inquiries and appointment processing
Coordinate issuance of teaching appointments prior to academic terms
Assist with processing out-of-state hires and payments through internal platforms
Coordinate with faculty engagement, academic administration, and payroll departments
Support the I-9 process by verifying work authorization information and providing completion guidance
Monitor I-9 processing status and follow up or escalate as needed
Assist with processing non-paid appointments and one-time payment requests
Run reports in multiple systems to support onboarding and payroll setup
Audit and reconcile payroll reports on a regular basis
Provide general support to the payroll and financial operations team
Qualification
Required
Timely and accurate data entry and transaction processing
Intermediate Excel skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to identify, research, and escalate issues as needed
Strong customer service and communication skills
Experience supporting payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or financial operations
Experience interacting with faculty, staff, or internal stakeholders
Experience working with multiple financial or HR systems
Preferred
Experience with payroll or HR systems
Experience running and analyzing reports across multiple platforms
Ability to support peak workload periods tied to academic hiring cycles
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience
