Director of Total Rewards
Search Solution Group is seeking a Director of Total Rewards to lead the strategy, design, and execution of their compensation and benefits programs. This role involves partnering with executive leadership and various departments to ensure competitive and compliant Total Rewards offerings aligned with business strategy.
Responsibilities
Own and evolve the company’s Total Rewards philosophy, ensuring alignment with business goals, culture, and talent strategy
Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on compensation, benefits, and pay governance
Lead, mentor, and develop the Total Rewards team, fostering a high-performance, data-driven culture
Partner closely with HR, Finance, Legal, and business leaders on workforce planning and cost management
Design, implement, and manage competitive compensation programs including base pay, incentive plans, and equity (as applicable)
Oversee job architecture, leveling, and market pricing to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness
Lead annual compensation cycles including merit, bonus, and long-term incentive planning
Ensure compliance with pay transparency, wage and hour, and other regulatory requirements
Leverage market data and analytics to support pay decisions and leadership recommendations
Provide strategic oversight of benefits programs including health and welfare, retirement, wellness, and time-off offerings
Manage vendor relationships, broker partnerships, and renewals to optimize cost and employee experience
Evaluate and enhance benefits offerings to support attraction, retention, and employee wellbeing
Ensure compliance with ERISA, ACA, and other applicable regulations
Establish clear governance, policies, and controls across Total Rewards programs
Develop dashboards, metrics, and reporting to measure effectiveness and ROI
Partner with Internal Communications and HR Business Partners to clearly communicate Total Rewards programs to employees
Qualification
Required
10+ years of progressive experience in Total Rewards, Compensation, and/or Benefits
Proven leadership experience managing teams and influencing senior executives
Deep expertise in compensation design, market pricing, and benefits strategy
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into executive-level insights
Bachelor's degree required
Preferred
Experience operating in a complex, growing, or multi-location organization
Advanced degree or certifications (CCP, CBP, GRP) a plus
