They are seeking a CAD Production Technician III to support water and wastewater infrastructure projects by performing intermediate to advanced CAD production work and developing accurate engineering drawings.

Responsibilities
Perform a variety of intermediate to advanced CAD production tasks with increasing independence, exercising sound judgment to adapt processes, resolve technical issues, and recognize when engineering input is required
Prepare and revise pipeline and facility drawings from redlines, sketches, and design markups, including:
Waterlines, sanitary sewer, and force mains
Pipe profiles, plan-and-profile sheets, and details
Treatment plant site plans, piping layouts, and mechanical arrangements
Utilize Civil 3D for pipeline alignments, profiles, pipe networks, surfaces, and data references, and/or Mechanical CAD tools for plant piping, equipment layouts, and details
Maintain CAD data integrity and drawing standards throughout the project lifecycle
Coordinate drawings across disciplines, supporting consistency between civil, structural, mechanical, and process elements
Reference and apply information from vendor drawings, equipment cut sheets, catalogs, and technical manuals, interfacing with engineers and designers as needed
Support construction-phase activities, including drawing revisions, clarifications, and record drawings (as-builts)
Assist with field assignments as required, such as site visits, data verification, or construction coordination
Share technical knowledge and collaborate across project teams, providing informal guidance or mentoring to less experienced production staff
Demonstrate accountability, initiative, and reliability in managing workload with minimal supervision and supporting overall team objectives
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent required
4–6 years of related CAD/production experience, preferably supporting water or wastewater treatment and/or pipeline projects
Demonstrated mastery of Production Technician II duties or equivalent experience
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Civil 3D and/or Mechanical CAD, including an understanding of drafting standards, math, and engineering concepts related to pipelines and facilities
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Demonstrated ability to work independently on technical CAD tasks
Strong knowledge of intermediate to advanced CAD drafting practices, standards, and workflows related to water and wastewater projects
Proficiency with Civil 3D for pipeline and conveyance design and/or Mechanical CAD platforms for treatment plant piping and equipment layouts
Ability to prepare and edit complex engineering drawings, ensuring accuracy, constructability, and data consistency
Understanding of pipeline and treatment facility components, including piping systems, appurtenances, and site constraints
Ability to work independently on technical tasks, provide peer mentorship, and interface effectively with engineers, designers, and technical staff
Capability to research and apply information from technical references and vendor documentation with minimal oversight
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities, adapt to changing project needs, and maintain quality standards
Preferred
Associate's degree or Technical Certificate in Drafting, CAD, or related field preferred
