Responsibilities

Creates large-scale monthly programming for residents
Guides and educates the Program Specialists through the program proposal process to ensure programs are effectively planned
Works in collaboration with the Building Coordinator to ensure programmatic efforts are managed seamlessly
Evaluates program trends and presents future program needs based on assessment with the assistance of the Residence Life Coordinator for Student Involvement and Engagement
Aids the Residence Life Coordinator for Student Involvement and Engagement in creating transition documents and training materials for all levels of Hoosier Den staff, for the longevity of the Den, and the benefit of future partners
Notifies the Residence Life Coordinator for Student Involvement and Engagement when misconduct or policy violations involving Den employees or patrons occur
Assists with other duties as assigned

Required

Currently enrolled as a student at Indiana University
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Ability to accomplish tasks on deadlines
Ability to plan, set up, and manage events from start to finish
Basic understanding of event technology (e.g., microphones, projectors, AV equipment)
Willing to work in a collaborative team environment

Preferred

Program development and event management experience
Previous experience working in the Hoosier Dens as a staff member
