Responsibilities

Conduct human health risk assessments for contaminated sites as well as hazard and safety assessments of consumer products. Specific tasks may include data analysis, exposure assessment and modeling, dose estimation, creating risk tables, and report writing
Conduct literature searches and critically review and evaluate scientific studies regarding toxicology, exposure assessment, and related areas to assess relevance and reliability for use supporting human health risk assessments
Assist in the preparation of deliverables (reports, manuscripts, memoranda, presentations, project proposals, agency comments)
Opportunities to manage small- to medium-sized projects

Required

Bachelor's degree in environmental sciences or engineering, toxicology, or related sciences
At least 5 years of environmental consulting experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Exceptional written and oral communication skills
Excellent quantitative analytical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Knowledge of human health risk assessment frameworks under federal and/or state regulatory bodies

Preferred

Advanced degree in environmental sciences or engineering, toxicology, or related sciences
7+ years of environmental consulting experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge of exposure and dose-response modeling methods and tools (e.g., benchmark dose [BMD] modeling)
Expertise in statistics, field sampling, ecological risk assessment, air modeling, and other exposure assessment techniques
Knowledge of contaminants of emerging concern (PFAS, endocrine disruptors, microplastics)
