Responsibilities
Define Architectural Vision: Lead the long-term strategy for our CI/CD pipelines and frameworks across both backend and frontend stacks. You will ensure these systems are not just reliable, but world-class in their ease of adoption
CI/CD Strategy: Architect how we execute fast, reliable deployments and rollbacks. You will own the end-to-end delivery pipelines, ensuring the highest standards of security, efficiency, and compliance from code commit to production
Set Engineering Standards: Establish the standards for our repositories. You will define the benchmarks for PRs, cycle time, velocity, code quality metrics, and systemic reliability that all teams will follow
Scalable Tooling & Coverage: Design and build the next generation of tools that simplify CI/CD pipelines. You will lead efforts to help bring all teams and repos up to best in class standards at scale
AI-Driven Strategy: Spearhead our efforts to leverage AI within the CI/CD lifecycle as well as using AI to accelerate our own development efforts
Cross-Functional Leadership: Act as a consultant to feature teams to solve their most complex engineering challenges. You will use root-cause analysis from major incidents to propose and implement pillar-wide velocity improvements
Operational Excellence: Oversee the health and performance of our entire CI/CD pipeline, taking ultimate responsibility for the stability of the environment that hundreds of engineers rely on daily
Qualification
Required
7+ years of software engineering experience with a history of leading complex, high-impact technical projects
Hands-on lead who stays close to the code while steering the broader vision
Master of Root-Cause Analysis: You don't just fix symptoms; you hunt down systemic failures
Excel at debugging deep-stack issues and transforming those lessons into automated preventions
Comfortable designing systems across the stack
Passionate about the intersection of AI and Software Quality
Clear perspective on how AI can automate the mundane parts of testing and accelerate the SDLC
Experience experimenting with AI in work or personal projects
Hungry to responsibly explore new AI tools and workflows
Take pride in the end-to-end health of the platform
Proactive in identifying technical debt and are a relentless advocate for engineering excellence
Deep experience with modern CI/CD tools
Sophisticated understanding of how to integrate automated testing into high-frequency deployment pipelines
Preferred
Experience with backend technologies such as Python, Django, Go
Experience with frontend technologies such as React, TypeScript, JavaScript
Familiarity with testing frameworks like Playwright, Cypress, Pytest, Jest
Knowledge of infrastructure and CI tools such as AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, Buildkite
Experience with data technologies like MySQL, Redis, Kafka
Familiarity with AI tools such as Claude, Cursor, Copilot, or internal AI enablement frameworks
