They are seeking a Data Engineering Manager to lead complex GCP data programs, support senior engineers, and ensure the successful adoption of secure, scalable data platforms for their clients.

Responsibilities
Lead Delivery Across Projects – Own technical quality and outcomes across multiple GCP data engagements
Hands-On When It Matters – Jump into design and complex engineering work on critical systems and pipelines
Technical Leadership & Architecture – Set patterns for scalable, reliable, ML-ready data platforms
Manage & Develop Engineers – Coach, mentor, and performance-manage senior data engineers and tech leads
Client Partnership – Act as senior technical advisor, shaping roadmaps and translating business goals into data strategy
AI/ML Data Enablement – Ensure teams build strong foundations for Vertex AI, feature engineering, and model-ready data
DataOps & Delivery Excellence – Standardise CI/CD, testing, observability, and release practices across projects
Security & Governance by Default – Enforce best practices around IAM, encryption, lineage, and compliance
Team Growth & Hiring – Support hiring, onboarding, and development of future technical leaders
Qualification
Required
Extensive GCP data engineering background including BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer/Airflow, Cloud Storage, IAM, and governance tooling
Strong SQL and Python skills with experience reviewing and guiding production-grade data pipelines
Deep experience with modern ELT and DBT-based transformation and modeling practices
Track record leading delivery for complex batch and streaming data platforms
Strong understanding of ML data pipelines and production AI enablement on cloud platforms
Experience with DataOps, CI/CD for data, quality frameworks, and observability tooling
Infrastructure-as-code experience using Terraform (KCC or Pulumi a plus)
Comfortable operating at both technical and stakeholder level with enterprise clients
Experience managing senior engineers and technical leads in delivery environments
Engineering-first mindset with strong accountability for outcomes
Preferred
Background working in regulated or security-sensitive industries
