Responsibilities
Design new components and systems for the electrical integration on Large Wheel Loaders and Wheel Tractor Scrapers
Responsible for the design, cost, quality, validation, and schedule
Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure manufacturability and lifecycle efficiency
Assisting supply specialists and buyers with supplier development and supplier performance
Drive collaboration with product development groups, value chain, manufacturing, commercial, and product support
Research and develop new technology
Developing and documenting functional design requirements
Provide leadership for design reviews and conformance to design guidelines and best practices
Organizing, coordinating, and executing the building, testing, and analysis of prototypes
Perform electrical load analysis and initiate discussions with system partners
Qualification
Required
Requires a degree in an accredited Engineering curriculum
Large Wheel Loader, Wheel Tractor Scraper or mining industry application knowledge
Extensive experience in Electrical installation product design and development
Electrical SDP experience and ability to influence through expertise
Ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems
Ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas and information
Ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation
Knowledge of a given technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges
Extensive experience with Creo, Vis View, and Teamcenter experience
Knowledge of processes, approaches, tools and techniques of product design; ability to convert customer and market requirements into product design
Knowledge of product features; ability to design, build, and develop a new product, technology, or service from concept through to production
