IT Applications Specialist - Workday

SECU is a credit union that believes in the philosophy of 'People Helping People.' They are seeking an IT Applications Specialist with expertise in the Workday ecosystem to build and support low code/no code solutions, document processes, and liaise across IT and business functions.

Responsibilities

Build:
Good understanding of Platform/Systems
Procedures to improve the existing systems by applying the appropriate changes or updates
Day-to-Day unit functions of specialized technology such as: User management, License management including new user setup/deactivation, roles, profiles, permissions, public groups
Medium complexity configuration changes, including (but not limited to): Flow, fields, page layouts, record types, custom settings, dashboards and reports
Create and Optimize simple Workflows & Dashboards
Support:
Tier 3 support for production systems
SDLC
Monitoring applications and existing EIB integrations
User support
Document:
Development of functional requirements
Technical requirements
Business Process Workflow diagrams
Work on approved project management software
Knowledge base and deliver Technical Documentation
Coordinating:
Releases / CRQ Owner
Application upgrades
Testing & deployment
User Training e. Monitor user adoption
Liaise with:
Business partners & users
Vendors both for implementation projects and issue support
Technical liaison to Software Engineers, systems engineers, Database Administrators, and other IT Teams
Analysis of:
Customer needs and developing of functional requirements that specify what the technology solutions should do and how they should perform
Current business processes and systems to identify their strengths and weaknesses
Areas for improvement where technology can enhance efficiency, quality, or member satisfaction

Required

Bachelor's degree. Acceptable fields of study: Software Engineering, Business, Information Systems, Data Analysis, and Engineering
Additional four years of relevant experience can be considered in lieu of degree
Required relevant experience 2 years
Experience with Workday Studio
Understands, but still learning about the SECU organization, Finance Industry, banking, and has a service minded work ethic
Comfortable with specific product, platform, or system the solution uses
Shows interest in all of SECU IT to be well rounded and communicative
Solution minded problem solver
Collaborative and team player attitude with excellent communication skills both written and oral
Must adhere to the work schedule and attendance policy established by the manager
Must be able to confidently interact with technical, non-technical, and management staff
Review and refinement of the product backlog, sometimes contributing to setting priority
Stay up to date on the latest industry trends and technical advancements
Must be able to speak English fluently
Must have strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
Serves as on-call responder for software the team supports

Preferred

Bachelor's degree
Desired relevant experience 5 years
Software Development Life Cycle(SDLC)
Experience working with JIRA
Experience working with SCRUM Agile
Working knowledge of Remedy
Experience and understanding of inbound/outbound EIB integrations
