Cyber Security Student Assistant (T060)
Tarrant Regional Water District is seeking a Cyber Security Student Assistant to provide exposure to various security tasks typical for a junior security analyst. The role involves tasks such as log analysis, malware remediation, and incident response, while also allowing the student to complete a project to enhance their cybersecurity understanding.

Responsibilities
Log analysis
Malware/Virus removal and analysis
Phishing mailbox monitoring and remediation
Threat feed monitoring and updating
SIEM tool incident monitoring
SIEM tool dashboard/reporting creation and monitoring
Documentation and reporting
Maintain familiarity with strategic district levels of service
Continuous improvement monitoring and innovation efforts
Perform other duties as required
Qualification
Required
Less than one (1) year of related experience
General computer literacy
Introductory knowledge of security concepts: AV, Firewall, etc
Good communication skills (Verbal and Written)
High School Diploma or GED
Entry into a qualified undergraduate degree with cyber security course work. Qualified degrees are as follows: B.S. Cybersecurity, B.S.E Computer Engineering, B.S. Computer Science, B.S. Information Systems, B.S. Information Technology
Valid Texas driver's license
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in a related field
