Mondo is seeking a Senior z/OS Performance & Capacity Management Engineer to lead performance and capacity management of complex IBM z/OS environments. The role involves ensuring optimal system performance, guiding external teams, and mentoring junior engineers while focusing on technical depth and communication.

Responsibilities

Drive performance and capacity initiatives across mainframe infrastructure
Configure and optimize BMC AMI Ops and IBM IntelliMagic Vision
Analyze system performance data to resolve bottlenecks
Collaborate with infrastructure, DB, and application teams
Develop capacity models and predictive tools
Generate reports, dashboards, and automated alerts
Perform root cause analysis on performance incidents
Present insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Mentor junior engineers and support continuous improvement
Stay informed on mainframe technology advancements

Qualification

Required

10+ years of experience managing and optimizing z/OS systems
Expertise in BMC AMI Ops, IBM IntelliMagic Vision, SMF, RMF
Technical leadership with managed service/offshore teams
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication skills for diverse audiences

Preferred

Relevant certifications
Knowledge of WLM policies and tuning parameters
Experience leading technical projects and mentoring
Familiarity with business planning through capacity modeling
