Software Engineering Intern

Crane Aerospace & Electronics is a key supplier of critical systems for aerospace and defense markets. As a Software Engineering Intern, you will assist with software development and gain practical experience through collaboration with senior technical staff and participation in various projects.

Responsibilities

Collaborate effectively with senior technical staff and all functional groups to achieve product performance and cost targets
Develop software requirements and software design. Implement code, test and debug
Develop test procedures and test scripts to validate software
Perform design analysis and participate in work product peer reviews
Support other software activities (e.g. software tool)

Required

Must be actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering (or related)
Must provide GPA, minimum accepted 3.1 on a 4.0 scale
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and use effective English communication in presentations, analyses, and reports
Must be self-directed/motivated and possess effective interpersonal skills in a team environment
Must be project-oriented and be able to multi-task
Ability to fulfill a one quarter or semester internship commitment, 40 hours per week
Eligibility Requirement: This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information. Where the position requires such access only US Persons will be considered

Preferred

Should have some experience programming or testing software
Knowledge of C or C++ programming language is a plus
