Responsibilities
Handle asbestos litigation matters
Manage a caseload from initiation through resolution, including investigation, client depositions; deposing other witnesses as needed, opposing motions for summary judgements and preparation for trial as needed
Conduct thorough investigations and case development
Draft and argue motions and other substantive legal filings
Represent clients with professionalism, empathy, and dedication throughout the litigation process
Collaborate with colleagues to develop effective trial strategies and contribute to a positive, team-oriented culture
Guide asbestos victims through the deposition and trial process
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
Admitted to practice law in the state of New Jersey
8–10 years of litigation experience
Substantial trial experience as first chair
Demonstrated experience in plaintiffs' personal injury litigation, preferably asbestos-related matters
Dynamic trial skills with a proven ability to take verdicts
Exceptional writing, research, analytical, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while accommodating clients' medical treatment schedules
Strong sense of empathy and ability to effectively support asbestos victims throughout litigation
