Traffic Engineer/ Signal Design Engineer, Oregon (Remote)

They are seeking a traffic engineer who can develop Oregon DOT-compliant plans and work on a variety of transportation engineering projects.

Responsibilities
Preparing design plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E) for traffic signals, roadway lighting/signing/pavement markings, temporary traffic control and ITS elements
Leading and performing on a variety of projects in traffic operations and multi-modal transportation engineering
Operational Analysis of arterial networks, corridor signal synchronization/timing, and freeway corridors using simulation packages
Preparing plans, specifications, and estimates for various transportation and ITS projects
Interacting with multi-disciplinary and multi-office project teams
Performing field investigations, site visits, and construction oversight
Qualification
Required
BSCE or Master's Degree in Traffic Engineering
3+ years' relevant experience
Oregon Professional Engineer (PE) or close to obtaining it
EIT required
3–10 years of traffic signal design/operations experience with direct ODOT project exposure
BS in Civil Engineering (or related)
Proficient in MicroStation (ODOT workflows), ProjectWise, AutoCAD, and Synchro
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Driver's License and ability to drive to project sites
Preferred
Oregon PE (or ability to obtain within 6–12 months)
Proficiency in Vissim, Sidra, and Autoturn
Experience with client meetings, project management, and proposals
Working knowledge of industry practices and regulations
