Responsibilities

Drive a team to deliver best in class hardware designs from inception, through manufacturing, implementation and maturation, and eventually deprecation
Ensure all core hardware components are meeting or exceeding the high quality bar
Ensure a healthy fleet of EC2 servers
Organize and lead a team of skilled hardware development engineers
Partner with our silicon suppliers, ODMs, and internal customers to ensure we deliver towards our roadmap
Define implementation strategies and report status frequently to senior leadership
Enable AWS to launch our next generation server designs

Qualification

Cloud hardware developmentEngineering team managementAgile project managementPartnering with silicon providersDesigning large scale applicationsEffective communicationTeam collaboration

Required

10+ years of engineering experience
5+ years of engineering team management experience
10+ years of planning, designing, developing and delivering cloud hardware experience with primary focus on CPU and memory
Experience partnering with product or program management teams
Experience managing multiple concurrent programs, projects and development teams in an Agile environment

Preferred

Experience partnering with silicon providers and ODMs
Experience designing and developing large scale, high-performing applications
