VCU Health is seeking a Respiratory Equipment Technician to ensure the proper functioning of respiratory care equipment. The role involves disassembling, cleaning, maintaining equipment, and managing inventory levels while documenting charges for services rendered.

Identifies equipment repairs which can be done internally
Ships warranty items for repair
Determines the need to clean the laboratory and equipment areas
Orders items available through Central Supply

Qualification

Required

High school graduate (or GED)
Employee must be able to work the day or evening shift as required
Employee must be able to work every other weekend
Physical Lifting 20-50 lbs
Activities: Prolonged standing, Frequent bending, Reaching (overhead, extensive, repetitive)
Mental/Sensory: Strong recall, Reasoning, Problem solving, Hearing, Speak clearly, Write legibly, Reading, Logical thinking
Emotional: Fast pace environment, Steady pace, Able to handle multiple priorities, Able to adapt to frequent change
