Responsibilities

Supports and implements effective, creative strategies to recruit, admit, and enroll outstanding students to the Law School's international and domestic programs
Recruits students via email and other correspondence, video and telephone conferencing, and domestic and international travel
Reviews graduate and JD files and make admissions and scholarship recommendations to the Dean of Admission. (DA)
Tracks data throughout the admissions cycle to assess the effectiveness of current graduate recruitment practices and suggest changes and improvements
Represents IU Maurer to prospective, admitted, and matriculating students as well as to international schools and universities, law firms, other employers, and other potential partners both within and outside of Indiana University
Ensures excellent communication about the Law School’s programs to internal and external audiences, including international schools and universities, scholarship organizations, law firms, and potential partners both within and outside Indiana University, including the Office of International Students (OIS)
Works directly with DA and the Communications Office to enhance Graduate Programs profile, exposure and outreach, e.g., providing content for social media platforms, website articles, and updating any print materials as needed
Responsible for keeping the Graduate Programs websites up to date
Provides the DA with a summary admissions report that outlines activities and accurately captures the enrollment and revenue figures for each GLS program
Collaborates with the Director of Admissions Operations to devise and direct a comprehensive system to process and review applications for the LLM, SJD, and certificate programs through UNITE and other application platforms
Maintains online systems, including admissions database, website, and various online applications; write, analyze, and produce all statistical reports for the graduate DA
Maintains the graduate recruiting schedule (both in-person and remote events); work with DA to deliver robust yield and matriculation events
Collaborates with the Asst Dean of Graduate programs with maintaining and promoting the Law School's international partner universities to attract admit and recruit outstanding international students
Other duties as assigned
Maintains, implements and oversees a holistic recruitment yield tactical plan for recruitment
Develops, implements, and administers plans, programs, and events for general and targeted student recruitment in support of organizational goals
Integrates a diverse and strategic communications strategy in collaboration with other departments, geared toward specific student declared academic major, career interests, and geographic factors
Identifies and develops partnerships for outreach to prospective students and influencers
Interprets academic policies and exercises authority and independent judgment
Plans, implements, and evaluates programs and processes and determines the effectiveness of markets and strategies. Exercises independent judgment and uses census data and modeling tools to identify effective marketing plans and strategies to address specific populations
Serves in a collaborative role with internal and external stakeholders to identify targets of opportunity to attract and enroll under-represented populations. Participates in the assessment and evaluation of various models
May attend meetings or serve on committees with the admissions stakeholders, including all staff meetings, recruitment, and outreach team meetings, customer service lead meetings, and undergraduate recruitment council meetings; may provide guidance to other admissions counselors

Required

Bachelor's degree
2 years in admissions, higher education, marketing, or related field
Proficient communication skills

Preferred

Juris Doctorate (JD)
3 years of experience in international admissions or international student services field
Possesses a valid driver's license with the ability to be insured by Indiana University
