Director of Marketing and Member Engagement
Macomb County Chamber is seeking a Director of Marketing and Member Engagement to develop, implement, and manage communications strategies that support its mission and goals. The role involves creating marketing plans, producing various marketing materials, managing social media platforms, and coordinating communications efforts to enhance the Chamber's brand recognition.
Non-profit Organization Management
Responsibilities
Creates and executes marketing plan for the Chamber as directed by the CEO
Writes, edits, and publishes all Chamber of Commerce e-blasts and publications: weekly newsletter, website, brochures, flyers, press releases, social media, program books for events
Utilize Adobe Creative Suite to design promotional pieces for digital, print and social
Document events and programs using photo and video for use in marketing and promotions
Manages and monitors all social media platforms including daily posts, public engagement, and campaign strategy
Responsible for distribution of all collateral materials, and develop signage and printed materials, as needed
Attends and assists with the planning and promoting of events including virtual events with the Director of Programs and Events
Supports the goal of recruiting, retaining and supporting chamber members
Responsible for keeping adequate supplies for various external communications, all membership marketing materials and correspondences i.e., letterheads, envelopes, note pads, business cards
Recommends creative approaches to position the Chamber as an informational and business resource in the community
Upsells members in marketing opportunities and manages marketing commitments
Promotes Chamber’s benefits and services on website and social media. Monitor web analytics and prepares monthly report for Marketing/Programs committee
Coordinate needs with PR contractor for news releases and ensures distribution and proper coverage from media outlets and tracks coverage to brand and promote the Macomb County Chambers events, membership, and programs
Oversee program script development with PR contractor
Coordinates photography and videography for all Chamber functions. Maintains all photo and video files- downloads and uploads all files, photos, videos and Chamber historical archives
Monitor and communicate members successes; highlight/spotlight membership throughout the year
Manages the content of the website and facilitates changes when needed
Ensures the Chamber website meets branding, editorial, graphic quality and consistency
Learns and utilizes ChamberMaster software
Participates in developing and supporting the Engage platform with the CEO
Facilitates and participates in Marketing/Programs monthly committee meetings; deliver monthly communications report to include scope and content data
Supervises use and maintenance of all Chamber audio devices and visual cameras
Coordinate with IT companies on all office technology and technical issues in the office
Assist with event execution as requested
Coordinates the promotion and recording of ribbon cutting ceremonies
Responsible for NextGen networking program
Engages and supports partnership programs and events marketing and web support as needed
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Degree and/or equivalent relevant work experience
One to three years' experience in communications field
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to produce marketing and/or public relations materials
Photo and video skills for photo documentation
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office applications, and MailChimp
Preferred
Preferred majors include communications, marketing, graphic design
Experience with producing digital content for social and email marketing
