Data Platform Support Engineer
Miami HEAT is a Championship organization seeking a Data Platform Support Engineer to join their Strategy & Data Analytics team. This role focuses on providing expert support for existing data platforms, ensuring stability and optimal performance while collaborating with clients and internal teams to enhance data quality and accessibility.

Responsibilities
Support clients in managing their 601A data platform, including databases, data warehouse, and integration processes using Microsoft Azure and Databricks
Oversee the Support ticketing platform (Zendesk) to monitor all support cases, regularly maintain and organize the ticket backlog, and ensure customer issues are addressed according to priority
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues affecting the client data platform, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance
Maintain and improve data quality, integrity, and accessibility across client data sources
Serve as the primary technical contact for clients, addressing questions, providing guidance, and sharing best practices in data platform management
Collaborate with client analytics teams to understand platform needs and support data-driven decision-making
Support data flows, models, and pipelines as required to maintain client reporting and business intelligence capabilities
Provide ad-hoc data analysis and reporting support to help clients optimize performance and meet business objectives
Document solutions, processes, and recommendations clearly for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Excellent communication skills for collaborating with clients and internal teams, both technical and non-technical
Qualification
Required
Hands-on experience supporting and troubleshooting existing data platforms and environments
Proficient in SQL, data modeling, and data integration; familiarity with BI tools such as Excel, Tableau, Power BI, etc
Proficient in Python, Databricks, and Snowflake
Experience working with Microsoft Azure, AWS, or similar cloud-based data technologies
Demonstrated experience with ticketing platforms such as Ticketmaster, Seatgeek, AXS, and Tickets.com
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen ability to translate client challenges into actionable solutions
Ability to adapt quickly to changing client needs and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, statistics, mathematics, engineering, information technology, or a related field (advanced degree preferred)
3+ years of hands-on experience in data platform support, data engineering, or analytics roles
Experience providing technical support or consulting services to clients is a strong asset
Preferred
Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate, are preferred
Certifications in business intelligence/analytics tools or related technologies are a plus
