Director of Talent Acquisition
Children's Hospital Colorado is seeking a Director of Talent Acquisition to lead the development and execution of strategic plans for the talent acquisition function. The role involves overseeing recruiting policies and processes, guiding team members in community partnerships, and collaborating with senior leadership to assess workforce needs.
Responsibilities
Develops and implements strategic plans, annual goals, and performance metrics for the talent acquisition function; develops and implements plans for aligning talent acquisition to operational vision and strategy. Reviews and approves annual work plans developed by functional leaders
Participates on the Human Resources (HR) leadership team, contributing to the development of HR strategies, reviewing, and approving changes to internal HR processes, and achieving HR goals on objectives. Aligns talent acquisition operations to HR vision and strategy
Manages the design, implementation, and maintenance of talent acquisition policies and programs while ensuring consistency with best practices and organizational policies, standards, and procedures
Provides technical expertise on talent acquisition programs, processes, and best practices. Works with senior leadership to identify current and future workforce gaps and develops plans for addressing concerns
Builds and maintains effective working relationships with senior leadership and with peers in human resources and in other CHCO operations. Manages relationship with external vendors responsible for either conducting recruitments to fill highly visible positions or for placing temporary or contract staff
Leads talent acquisition team members in sourcing and recruiting candidates and in processing selected candidates through the application and hiring process. Leads team members in building and maintaining community relationships and talent pipelines to develop effective pipelines for current and future talent
Develops and implements talent acquisition communications and training initiatives for all levels of the organization
Establishes performance metrics for talent acquisition team members and leaders. Assists team members in achieving performance standards and identifies opportunities for continual improvement to performance standards
Resolves operational and customer service issues, makes decisions that are inclusive of multiple perspectives and solves underlying problems
Manages communications to the enterprise on strategy, projects and new trends related to talent acquisition
Selects, trains, develops, and evaluates talent acquisition team members and leaders. Makes decisions on hiring, terminations, promotions, and disciplinary actions as required
Ensures staff and financial resources are utilized appropriately and shifts resources based on business needs within budget restraints. Develops budget recommendations for operating expenditures and monitors budget for department
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Communications or other related field
Five (5) years of talent acquisition experience within a hospital or complex healthcare delivery system, to include three (3) years of experience leading a Talent Acquisition function or team and contributing to or leading talent strategies, workforce planning, and pipeline development
Four (4) years of experience, beyond stated requirements, may substitute for the bachelor's degree
