Responsibilities
The role is for an engineer to join a team working on a new project for our client, focused on energy sector projects ranging from renewables to oil and gas, including solar and nuclear
The team consists of approximately 15 people, with divisions handling both upstream (metering and sampling) and lab-based testing
The engineer will primarily be based in the laboratory, acting as a bridge between the lab testing team and offshore engineers, consolidating and interpreting data for clients
The position is full-time and expected to be a long-term hire, as the contracts for the project are set to run for multiple years
Must have engineering experience, ideally with the ability to consolidate and interpret lab data and communicate findings in engineering terms to clients
Experience with instrumentation setup and higher-end lab equipment is preferred
Ability to support both the initial setup phase and ongoing operations of the lab
Should be able to work collaboratively with both lab technicians and offshore engineering teams
Seniority is flexible: candidates with more experience are preferred, but those with less experience may also be considered depending on budget
Availability to work standard hours (8-5, Monday to Friday), but should be flexible and available as needed to support lab operations
