Keck Medicine of USC is seeking a Template Design Specialist responsible for creating and maintaining provider master schedule templates and daily schedules for the Patient Access Center Logistics Team. The role involves collaborating with internal clients to ensure scheduling constraints are met and optimizing patient access and provider productivity.

Responsibilities

Demonstrates competency in the quality of work and knowledge of a Template Design Specialist

Maintains consistent accuracy in all tasks associated with job role and responsibilities daily
Exhibits collegial and professional demeanor in all interactions
Contributes effectively as a productive team member to the Patient Access Center and USC/Keck
Follows USC/Keck Communications standard and policy
Expected to work from home as organizationally deployed
Utilized organizational practice management applications to build and maintain master scheduling templates for new and existing providers following the USC/Keck scheduling template policy and guidelines
Makes changes and edits in scheduling templates in order to optimize patient access and provider productivity
Collaborates with department/clinic managers and providers as well as Access Center managers to identify and design an optimal schedule for providers
Ensures adherence to the organizational template guidelines
Ensures all block and assigned time in schedules is utilized efficiently and according to USC/Keck scheduling template guidelines
Documents and maintains all files/records used to prepare master scheduling templates; updates as needed
Following USC/Keck Bump Policy and procedure, creates the Bump list(s) and provides coverage of Patient scheduling/rescheduling as needed
Communicates scheduling constraints, conflicts and other scheduling issues to Access Center management and internal clients
Other duties as assigned #1-9accountabilities = 15%

Required

High school or equivalent
Minimum two (2) years' experience in a hospital or healthcare environment
Thorough knowledge of the IDX/GECB and/or Cerner Scheduling systems, including scheduling visit types and dictionaries as they relate to the master schedule, daily schedule and templates
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in an integrated environment
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Proven experience with Personal Computers (PC) and Microsoft software
Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire and maintained by renewal before expiration date. (Required within LA City only)

Preferred

Associate's degree Associates' or Bachelors' degree in healthcare, business or operations field strongly preferred
