Associate Director, Change Management

The University of Delaware is seeking an Associate Director of Change Management to lead institutional transformation and enhance organizational resilience. Responsibilities

Lead the design and execution of change management strategies for institutional initiatives, including reorganizations and strategic shifts
Conduct stakeholder analysis, readiness assessments and impact evaluations to inform change planning
Develop and implement communication and engagement plans to support successful adoption and sustainability
Serve as a change coach to leaders and project teams, helping them navigate resistance and build change capability
Monitor and evaluate change efforts, providing feedback and recommendations for continuous improvement
Provide individual and team coaching to support leadership effectiveness, change agility, and team dynamics
Facilitate coaching conversations that build self-awareness, strategic thinking, and resilience
Act as a thought partner to leaders navigating complex organizational challenges
Support the development of a coaching culture across the institution through training, tools and peer learning
Contribute to the design and delivery of leadership development programs, with a focus on change leadership and coaching skills
Support cohort-based learning experiences and workshops as a facilitator or subject matter expert
Assist in evaluating leadership development initiatives and integrating feedback into future programming
Collaborate with colleagues to align leadership development with institutional strategy and talent needs

Required

Bachelor's degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Psychology, Education, or related field and seven years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Demonstrated experience leading change initiatives and coaching leaders through transition
Strong facilitation, coaching, and consulting skills
Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization
Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable strategies

Preferred

Master's degree
Experience in a higher education environment
Certification in change management (e.g., Prosci, Kotter) and coaching (e.g., ICF, Gallup, Hogan)
Familiarity with leadership development frameworks and tools
