Responsibilities
Weekly timesheet review for multi-state payrolls
Contact managers, employees, and/or HR for missing time
Apply multiple payroll policies to correct groups of employees
Input weekly payroll adjustments
Approve timesheet change requests
Fast paced, High Volume
Tax changes, personnel changes, direct deposit changes
Assist with retirement and workers compensation audits
Benefit reconciliations
Calculating and applying workers’ compensation rates
Processing payroll tax returns
Audit payroll tax return package from third party provider
Prepare all year end W2 and tax filings
Act as liaison between payroll provider, tax authorities and internal teams
Ensure ongoing compliance for payroll and tax related matters
Prepare and submit payroll and tax journal entries
Process timesheets and perform multiple balancing techniques
Process payroll accurately meeting all deadlines
Protect all employee information with strict confidentiality
Other duties as required
Qualification
Required
Attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
Reliable with strong work ethic
3+ years of high volume payroll experience
Experience with Excel working with formulas and pivot tables
Excellent communication skills while maintaining confidentiality
Working knowledge of payroll laws and tax compliance
Ability to work well in fast paced environment, effectively multi-tasking and prioritizing under pressure
Must be a self-starter, able to research and make decisions with minimal supervision, while meeting critical deadlines with precision and accuracy
Occasional overtime may be required
Preferred
Kronos UKG WorkForce Ready experience preferred
Prefer degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent work experience
