Senior Human Resources Generalist

Responsibilities

Assist in building and maintaining strong business partner relationships with managers and employees, supporting organizational change and promoting a positive workplace culture
Support staffing processes, including recruitment coordination, onboarding activities, and records management
Conduct or support HR investigations and disciplinary actions by gathering information, organizing documentation, and interviewing employees
Monitor the completion of performance appraisals and follow up with managers to ensure timely submissions
Support the development and maintenance of KRAs for positions across the organization
Perform additional HR-related duties as assigned to support departmental initiatives and company needs
Partner with Payroll & Benefits Manager to support all payroll and benefits administration, ensuring accuracy, timely processing, and exceptional employee service
Assist in the reconciliation and approval of invoices from HR services and benefits providers
Help troubleshoot employee benefit questions or issues in coordination with the HR Corporate team
Ensure compliance with company policies as well as state and federal employment regulations, identifying potential issues and addressing them promptly
Maintain accurate and organized employee personnel files, including processing, documenting, and maintaining all E-Verify records in compliance with federal requirements
Maintain current knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, regulatory updates, and HR technologies to support continuous improvement
Coordinate, document, and track employee FMLA leave, ensuring compliance with federal regulations, accurate recordkeeping, and clear communication with employees and managers
Promptly coordinate care for injured employees by ensuring immediate response, proper documentation, post-accident drug screening, and full compliance with workers’ compensation procedures
Maintain OSHA incident recordkeeping and posting compliance ensuring accurate documentation, timely reporting, and adherence to all regulatory requirements
Main HR contact for 190 employees but reporting directly to corporate HR Director off-site

Qualification

Required

4 years of progressive Human Resources experience required; preferably in a manufacturing industry
Positive, enthusiastic and flexible attitude
Team-player mentality
Advanced in Microsoft Office; especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
Proficient in HRIS software, ADP preferred

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field preferred
PHR or SHRM-CP Certification preferred
Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred but not required
