Responsibilities
Risk Identification & Assessment: Evaluate potential project risks affecting cost, schedule, and quality
Mitigation Strategy Development: Partner with project teams to formulate and implement mitigation strategies
Risk Register Management: Maintain and continuously update the project risk register, reflecting new risks, changes in status, and mitigation steps
Monitoring & Adjustment: Track and analyze the effectiveness of mitigation plans and make recommendations for improvement
Reporting: Prepare and present clear and concise risk reports to stakeholders and leadership
Collaboration: Work directly with project managers, engineers, and other team members to identify and manage project risks
Compliance Assurance: Ensure all risk management practices align with internal standards and regulatory requirements
Financial Risk Analysis: Analyze financial trends within project data to detect emerging risks
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
4–8 years of experience in the energy/utility industry or related large capital project risk management
Strong attention to detail and a proven track record of accurate reporting
Proficient in facilitating risk meetings and collaborating across project teams
Effective communication skills across all organizational levels
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Experience working with large capital project risk registers
Ability to facilitate various types of project risk meetings
Familiarity with risk analysis software/tools (e.g., Primavera Risk Analysis, @RISK, etc.)
Preferred
Experience conducting probabilistic risk analysis using commercial risk software
Power BI – intermediate proficiency or higher
