Responsibilities

Collaborates with leadership to define development goals that align with TBT’s mission and strategic plan
Develops, implements, manages, and sustains a detailed annual development plan that encompasses fundraising strategies in the areas of campaigns, special events, and grant initiatives
Prepares an annual goal, in conjunction with the CEO, of dollars to be raised and gifts to be obtained for the fiscal year to support the mission
Represents TBT in the community including attending and speaking at networking events
Identifies, cultivates, solicits and stewards relationships with individual, corporate and foundation donors for annual, capital and multi-year support
Ensures that all requests from donors and potential donors for information and clarification are responded to in an accurate, timely, and professional manner
Develops and coordinates annual fundraising appeals, special events, and campaigns including sponsorships, direct mail, and social/digital media
Develops annual grant strategy and plan that builds and sustains relationships with funders
Collaborates with a contract grant writer and program staff to refine targeted research, cultivation of current and new funders, reviews grant applications, and ensures reporting requirements
Develops and implements an effective donor recognition and stewardship program for all donors and levels of support
Recruits, motivates, and instructs volunteers and staff to ensure development goals are met or exceeded
Collaborates with leadership to maintain relationships with the board and fundraising volunteers
Maintains data integrity on a day-to-day basis, ensuring accuracy across donor records, reports, and systems
Optimizes internal reporting capabilities to monitor fundraising dashboard KPIs and enabling seamless and actionable data systems

Required

At least 3-5 years of progressive fundraising experience within a nonprofit organization or an organization related to health
Proven experience in raising a minimum of $250,000 in a non-profit setting on an annual basis
Experience with public relations, marketing, and fundraising within an organization
Passion for and commitment to supporting mental health, the mission of TBT, and the values of the nonprofit sector
Flexibility and ability to work within a fast paced, quickly evolving organization and manage multiple complex priorities
Demonstrates a proactive approach by anticipating fundraising opportunities and taking initiative to drive development goals forward
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
Valid Florida Driver's License

Preferred

Knowledge of modern principles and practices of individual, corporate, foundation, grant-seeking, and special events fundraising
Knowledge of and ability to interpret charitable solicitation laws, policies, and local, state, and federal laws as they relate to fundraising and charitable solicitation
Knowledge and experience with donor records management and administration as well as data and trend analysis. Experience with Bloomerang or similar donor database management software a significant plus
Knowledge of the principles and practices of budgeting and financial management
Ability to design, plan, administer, and monitor the day-to-day operations of a development program and to ensure compliance with the mission of TBT
Ability to lead, motivate, encourage, and inspire volunteers working on development activities
Ability to travel locally as necessary to work with leadership, potential donors, and professionals of their communities
